Welcome To Caprafiba

Caprafiba goats on the farm

Caprafiba is home of the prize winning Engedi Flock of angora goats in Devon's beautiful Otter Valley in the UK’s South West. If you appreciate the special softness and strength that only the fleece of the angora goat can provide, you’ll love our collection of Hand knitting yarns, Shawls, Wraps, Scarves, Throw blankets and Activity socks.

Our mainstay is the Angora goat, a unique animal prized through the ages for its luxuriously soft coat. The fleece is shorn from the animals twice a year and is used to produce incredibly soft angora mohair products. Angora goat fleece, long treasured for its strength, lustre, and handle, has symbolized style and grace worldwide for centuries. Did you know that its fleece is 2 1/2 times as strong as wool! From its place in the robes of biblical times to its inclusion in modern fabrics, nothing can beat angora fleece for exceptional quality.

The Caprafiba Shop

The Champion Engedi flock came into existence twenty three years ago when my husband Tony and I were involved in the first importation of Texan angoras into Britain. We established Caprafiba in 2003 and currently have a flock of 62 goats. Do visit our online shop and view our latest Hand knitting yarns, Shawls, Wraps, Scarves, Throw blankets and Activity socks – all made from the luxurious, strong natural fibre of our wonderful angora goats

The Caprafiba shop has moved to Caprafiba at The Secret Garden, Old Fore Street, Sidmouth, Devon, EX10 8LS
